Outpatient Treatment Program
South Miami Recovery provides several Outpatient Program levels for substance abuse treatment. Each program addresses the specific needs of the client, providing an effective, safe environment for the client to recover.
Outpatient Addiction Treatment in Miami, Florida
Outpatient treatment supports the client in maintaining a stable living routine while continuing to work, go to school or otherwise function within the their community. Everyone has different needs in addiction recovery. For those who meet the criteria for Level 1 Outpatient, we recommend 3 to 5 hours weekly (1 day plus Individual). These criteria are as follows:
- Acute Intoxication &/or Withdrawal Potential: Not experiencing withdrawal/minimal risk of severe withdrawal.
- Biomedical Conditions & Complications: None or very stable or receiving concurrent medical monitoring.
- Emotional, Behavioral or Cognitive Conditions and Complications: None or very stable or receiving mental health monitoring.
- Readiness to Change: Ready for recovery but needs motivation and monitoring strategies to strengthen readiness or High severity in this dimension but not in other dimensions.
- Relapse, Continued use or Continued Problem Potential: Able to maintain abstinence or control use and pursue recovery or motivational goals with minimal support.
- Recovery Environment: Recovery environment is not supportive but, with structure and support, the client can cope.
Intensive Outpatient Programming
Clients who meet the following criteria for level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient should plan for 9-15 hours of treatment each week (3-5 days plus individual).
- Acute Intoxication &/or Withdrawal Potential: Not experiencing withdrawal/minimal risk of severe withdrawal.
- Biomedical Conditions & Complications: None or very stable or receiving concurrent medical monitoring.
- Emotional, Behavioral or Cognitive Conditions and Complications: None or very stable or receiving mental health monitoring.
- Readiness to Change: Ambivalent or lacks awareness, requires support in stages of change.
- Relapse, Continued use or Continued Problem Potential: High Risk
- Recovery Environment: Recovery environment may not be supportive, but can cope.
